A Part 61 flight school built like a flight department. Cirrus SR20 fleet. AeroTech digital ground school. The same airplane every flight, from your discovery flight to your CFI checkride.
FOUR CERTIFICATES · ONE PATH
Each is a real product with real pricing. Apply, get scheduled, fly.
Zero-time to PPL on the SR20. Block schedule, paid up front, locked instructor.
IFR done in real Florida weather. Real approaches into KFXE, KFLL, KPBI.
Cross-country complex maneuvers and the commercial syllabus on the SR20.
The instructor certificates. We hire from our own training pipeline first.
THE COURSE · LIMITED COHORTS
A defined course for students who want to operate fleets — not just fly them. Ab-initio through CFI/CFII on the Cirrus SR20, with operations and aviation business training built into the curriculum.
Pipeline graduates fly TPP fleet aircraft as part of operations. The aircraft is provided. The opportunity is earned.
Open to ab-initio students and pilots with up to a Private Pilot certificate. Pilots holding both PPL and IR from another school are not currently eligible. Final requirements posted before each cohort intake.
DISCOVERY FLIGHT
Most pilots start with a discovery flight — about an hour in the SR20 with a CFI in the right seat. You'll handle the controls. You'll fly the airplane. We'll tell you the truth about what training looks like before you commit.
THE FLEET
The Cirrus SR20 is the airframe every TPP student trains on — from your discovery flight through your CFI checkride. Glass panel (Garmin Perspective+), CAPS whole-airframe parachute, fixed-gear, four-seat. The same systems you'll fly into the rest of your career.
Garmin Perspective+ — the avionics suite you'll see in nearly every modern Cirrus you ever fly.
Cirrus Airframe Parachute System — the whole-aircraft chute that has saved hundreds of lives.
Continental IO-360 piston, no carb-icing, predictable starting, modern fuel-management.
Same airplane every flight = no transition friction between lessons. You learn the airplane once.
WHY TPP
We're not a school that bought airplanes. We're an aviation operator that runs a school. The training side is fed by — and feeds into — a real management company on the operations side. That changes the experience.
Fort Lauderdale Executive — busy, controlled, year-round VFR with real IFR weather. The kind of busy environment that produces working pilots.
Flexibility for our students and our instructors. Not Part 141. Not airline-track-or-bust. Train at the pace your life supports.
The Cirrus SR20 from your first lesson through CFI/CFII. No transition friction. You learn the airplane once and fly it for everything.
The ops side gives our CFI candidates real exposure to maintenance, owner relations, and the economics of independent instruction.
PRICING
Real numbers, sent on request. Block pricing depends on your certificate, hours flown, instructor time, ground prep, and examiner fees. South Florida flight training is competitive and we publish current rates by program — we just don't post them on the open web. Email fly@thepilotport.com for a current block-rate sheet.
Most students pre-pay in 10–20 hour blocks. Locks the rate. Predictable budgeting.
Aircraft (wet), instructor time, ground prep. Examiner fees, books, headsets, and FAA tests are separate.
We're not in the financing business. If you need student loans for flight training we'll refer you out.
Block rates change with fuel and insurance. The number on a website is always wrong. The number we send today is right.
The waitlist is for the Pilot Port Pipeline course. For the four open-enrollment certificates above, email fly@thepilotport.com.
